Services

Established in 1997, Everest was founded as a contractor with primary scope in building and site formation works. With the growth in decade, Everest was extended its scope to minor civil works such as road and drainage, ELS work with sub-structures and basement construction as well as slope and soil retaining features construction works.

Excavation and Lateral Support Works

ELS works are typically used to provide temporary support for excavation from the existing ground for the purpose of pile caps, basement and underground structures or utilities construction.

It involves the procedures of installation of pile wall such as sheet piles, bulk excavation, installation of waling and strut or tie back, and further excavation down to the final formation level.

Road and Drainage

Road and drainage works can be classified as civil works which facilitate the laying of underground utilities below the pavement or carriageway. Generally speaking, road and drainage works accompany with ELS works especially in the bustle and hustle city area. Complicated coordination works with utilities undertaker and government authorities are prerequisite for road and drainage works.

Slope and Retaining Features Construction and Maintenance Works

With the exceptional landscape of Hong Kong, both natural and man-made slope and retaining features can be found everywhere from back lanes of city centre to remote country park. Either the degradation of these features or changes of adjoining development would lead to failure in extreme weather and endanger the public. Regular reviewing, upgrading and maintenance of these features are necessary to counteract the climate change.

Basement and Substructure Works

Substructures include pad footings (on grade) and pile caps (with pile(s) support). It acts as a medium to spread the weight and other forms loads from the on-top columns and walls. Pad footing and pile caps are reinforced concrete structures constructed on-top of well grade soil (for Pad Footing) or a pile / a group of piles (for Pile Cap). They support and achieve a better distribution of loads to the completed group of piles, which are designed to support the building.

It is not uncommon to construct several floors below the existing ground as basement. Unlike the structure above ground, basement construction work needs special care for the dismantle of installed temporary supports in ELS stages.

Building Works

Structures above the substructure are considered as building works, and it covers a wide range of building works including domestic buildings. Everest focused on the ancillary structure / buildings in Civil Contract such as elevated walkway and electricity substation. Everest constructed a number of electricity substations.
